Every time someone knocks on the door I feel my heart knocking against my ribcage in echo.
I know it's not you. I know it could be years before the person who knocks at my door is you. But every time I hear a knock, or footsteps behind me, or a voice that sounds just a little like yours, I think "oh. Oh, it's you. I've been waiting for you."
I don't know how much longer I'll be waiting. If I don't start putting my thoughts to paper I think I'll go crazy.
